AFAIK the Belkin don't have a reliable UPnP implementation, thus port forwarding is probably your best bet. Find your model here http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm the most important step is the 1st one which is setting up a static ip. ;) BTW if you're running xp sp2 then see MS & 3rd party patches to improve your connections. Sorry sleepless ... I'm a bit slow today ... lol :D |

frustrated I have a wall in front of my globe too. When i first downloaded limewire it worked fine, but the next time i tried to get on it it wouldnt connect.I have tried everything. does anyone have any ideas. |

Is the XP firewall turned off? Did you double check that the McAfee firewall's configured? Try to find out the brand & model of your modem/router;) Which one did you try... enabling UPnP or port forwarding? |
the xp firewall is off i think the modem is a cable labs cxc150, not for sure and the McAfee firewall web page will not load it says it is having technical difficulties i tried both UPnP and forwarding |
