a

Some Lynksys routers need a firmware update to work. What it the exact make and model ?

erm well i manage to solve it as it is due to nvidia firewall so i download its uility and shut it off. And the wall disappear.

But the funny thing is when i use LW(totally exit & enter) with secure tunnel software(start first), the wall is there after it connected but when switch to NO PROXY and re-connect(LW no exit) the wall disappeared.

So i just dis-connected LW again and change setting back with proxy then re-connect(no exit for LW), the wall never re-appeared.

Why is that so?

Have no idea :D

The only thing I use proxy for is the school network and I had to have someone configure it for me. You could probably teach me more about proxys' then I can teach you

Jyaz August 21st, 2006 08:15 PM

erm well the reason i use proxy is because i want to play safe and i want to have my IP address masked when downloading.

In fact i use tunneling software rather than those free proxies as it hard to find a good one. i got two tunneling software that is http-tunnel and secure tunnel and i use it with limewire and morpheus to test how well they work and
limewire work very well secure tunnel software whereas morphues dont seem working with either of them....still trying to configure to make it work. i am trying to configure if http tunnel work well with limewire or not.

Btw if i am using limewire(free version) one, does it have a limit downloading/uploading speed?

As with proxy or no proxy my speed is around 5kbs/s to 20kbs/s.

You should post links to those programs. Someone might find them interesting to try

There is no limit

My max is 250 down/60 up and I have got 225 before on a single file

With several files have been maxed out (BTW that totally f*cks up limewire. Speeds start fluxuating)

Jyaz August 21st, 2006 09:38 PM

wow your connection speed is so good so even you downloading a audio
also give you that speed?

as the speed i provide before is based on audio downloading, i have not tried video or any application yet.

btw one doubts if limewire free version got no speed limit then y paid for a pro version one?

isnt that limewire pro version should have higher speed than basic one?

as i am thinking to upgrade to pro version or not as i just purchase morpheus ultra. So are you using basic or pro version to have your mentioned speed above?

below are the links for tunneling software
www.http-tunnel.com
www.secure-tunnel.com

Only audio gets that speed. This is not always of course. Depends on uploadspeed of the hosts that you connect to

TY for posting the links

Might have a look when I have a bit of free time

Basic connects to 8 hosts and pro to 10

Let's say these hosts all have 20 KB/s up available then you get 160 KB/s with basic and 200 KB/s with pro

I use pro, but have got speeds like that with basic. As I said it all depends on the hosts that you are downloading from at the any given time

Jyaz August 21st, 2006 10:00 PM

oh i see my speed is from 1 or 2 hosts and max is 4 hosts and i will have more than 20kb/s

so is there any main difference between pro and basic version?
