 By the sounds of that Norton might still be lurking around somewhere, did you use the Norton uninstaller...Do a search on your comp for anything related to Norton and Symantec...Did you also restart your computer once you uninstalled it... Try these fixes as well... Try uninstalling your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....(4th one down) Java SE Downloads - Previous Release - JDK 5 Then uninstall Limewire using the uninstaller which is found in start > all programs > limewire...then re-install it using the offline installer... LimeWire: The Official Site for the Fastest File Sharing Program on the Planet If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder... Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should

| Thanks for your quick reply, I did use uninstall/restart but have done a search and deleted a few leftovers. Deleted the Java things I had and am now dl the one you've recommended and will restart and cross fingers! Cheers |

 You rock! Thank you so much!!!  It works!!! After I did the steps up to the preference folder (didn't have to do that). Really appreciate your help, I am getting broadband next week so hopefully limewire will remain intact. Have a great weekend! |
