![]() O.K. folks, this is very frustrating. I'm not sure what has happened in the last few weeks. I've been using LW for years now and this is the first problem I've had. I have attempted every possible thing one can think of (completely shutting down my firewalls, reconfiguring firewalls, reinstalling/configuring LW - nothing changes. It's still in a perpetual state of "connecting". I have not changed anything in MY setup, and apparently there are many others in the LW community experiencing the same issues. Despite many of them giving you the relevent data listed below, I've yet to see any response of resolution from LW. When can we expect your service to be restored!!!??? 1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) Windows 2000 2. What firewalls you have? McAfee 3. How much ram? 1 gb 4. Hard Disk space available? 60 GB 5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Cable 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Actiontec MI424WR 7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? House 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. LW 4.12.11 - Java 1.5.0_11 9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? Verizon FiOS 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? "Your test worked!" 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. None 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. new problem for an experienced user. 13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes http://www.gnutellaforums.com/attach...1&d=1158099342 14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? UPnP enabled |

![]() Many people have had their issues fixed, but unfortunatley there is not just the one answer... Try deleting your preference folder... Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should If that doesn't work and you still have the firewall try port forwarding as your router has a Nat Firewall.. These are your instructions... Port Forwarding for the Actiontec MI-424-WR
