Unhappy Monitor viewing...

Please help...

I just downloaded Limewire...and I'm having a problem with viewing Monitor. I go to click on "Enable" and I get an error message. "Your client is a Leaf Node Shielded by an Ultrapeer~Hence you will see few or no searches in the monitor window"

Ok, what is all that? And what can I do to be able to view the Monitor? Please help, I'm new to this "Limewire"

Thanks,
Beija

The number of incoming searches in the monitor will be lower when connected to an ultrapeer. An ultrapeer will only forward queries to you that are more likely to match the files you are sharing instead of forwarding all queries.

Read what it says : U can't view the monitor because no traffic is going tru your LW !

When you are a leaf , the Ultrapeer host you are connected to takes everything out of your hands .

People not reading the manual I'm used to .
People not understanding clear and simple error messages is a new one to me .

Besides , the monitor window chockes your CPU .
You will try it once , but you won't push that "Enable Monitor" button twice !
Doesn't matter what CPU youre packing ...

Cool

beija.... I know what you are talking about.... that leaf node message basically means that you have too many people trying to use you as an ultrapeer. your ultrapeer options can be found on your connections tab next to the monitor button. on the bottom of the screen there is an option where you can change how many people use you as an ultrapeer. mine was set at three when I got the same message. change this setting to 1 and you will not have that problem. then go to your monitor tab and check mark the enable and you should start getting searches immediately
