 No need to uninstall, just install the version you want to use know over the top of your existing limewire... If you do choose to uninstall make sure you use the Limewire uninstaller, which you will find in Start > All Programs > Limewire/Uninstaller... Dont' use the add/remove programs... Your files will all still be there if you do choose the uninstall option...
