![]() i've spent several months of trying to get limewire to connect with no luck. ![]() Does anyone have any other suggestions? Otherwise I'm going to have to assume that limewire is not going to work anymore. My guess is that AT&T is blocking ports. PS And yes i have configured the firewall on my router just in case someone was asking! Last edited by wyliesdiesels; August 16th, 2007 at 01:16 PM. Reason: Discovered Something |

![]() I have LimeWire (the new free version) on my computer. I run Windows XP and have all the updates loaded for XP. I can run LimeWire on my other desktop computer and my son's laptop, but I can't run it on this laptop. I've checked the Norton Anti-Virus Internet Worm settings and have it set to "allow all" for LimeWire. My ISP is AT&T and I'm connected to a 2Wire Gateway with all my computers. Since the other computers connect to LimeWire, I don't have a problem with my 2Wire. Does anyone have any more ideas? Thanks, N Glenn |

![]() I too have AT&T, used to be Bellsouth, until AT&T bought them out. I never noticed a problem until lately after I upgraded to the 4.13 PRO and then the 4.14. But even after I went back to the 4.12.15, it still seemed a little slow. I don't think AT&T is blocking ports because even though I have the brickwall, I still connect within seconds, have turbo connection almost immediately, always have connection to nothing but ultrapeers and can download/upload okay, if a little slow a lot of times. It's better thanit was with those upgrades. If everybody with AT&T starts noticing theis, then maybe there's is an issue with blocking/shaping. i don't put it past all isps to eventually try to do this. Quote:

![]() Changing protocols like mentioned here on the 4th thread, helped me solve my connection problem on my wireless desktop. On my router, I had to set it to "block ICMP" pings which apparently changes protocols it accepts. Now LW works! |

![]() I had checked my 2wire gateway and configured it like the previous post said but still no connection. I decided to reset my gateway to the defaults and now it works. I don't know why -- but it works. Thanks to everyone who replied. N Glenn |
