| Anyhow, I took initiative and completed your suggestions. Actually, deleting the Limewire preferences folder didn’t help. It just rebooted my Limewire to its unoriginal form. L Then, I uninstalled Java and tried the J2SE version. However, a window popped up when I tried reopening Limewire- it won’t run on a lower version of Java so I had to update to the latest one. Still, Limewire didn’t work. Okay, I think I’M the bird brain here because I noticed an icon at the bottom of Limewire (miscellaneously messing around trying to change settings back to how I had them) and I saw that there WAS a firewall blocking Limewire. Well, sob. I could have swore I checked that and found nothing. So, I went to my Anti-Virus program (I know my PC lingo is all wrong) and changed its settings to allow Limewire. I exited Limewire, reopened it and WALA, I’m in the clear. What a spoof. Thank you for all suggestions and help, Birdy. I am grateful. I am off to catch up on music. -Ducky ![]() PS- sometimes it might be the simplest things, Baker. Best of luck- and breathe. |
