 Limewire not connecting, suggestions welcome ok, i'm not a computer expert by any means. all i know is my limewire application is usually always working, except now it's stopped connecting, never getting past the first bar. i've had some issues like this in the past, and they were usually firewall issues, and those incidents were always fixable. but this time i have no clue. please help me out, experts. here's my specs... Windows XP Limewire 4.14.10 (most current version, to my knowledge) Java 6 Update 3 (most current version, to my knowledge) i'm on my own Linksys broadband router, Wireless-N, WRT300N my windows firewall is always turned off, and i don't have Norton or any other alternative brand firewall active. so, it seems like it can't possibly be a firewall issue, but i have no idea. the only firewall that appears to be on is the one under my personal linksys router page. but this has never been a problem before, and i never mess around with those preferences. so for whatever f'n reason, limewire still won't connect at all. it seems like it was just working fine about a week ago. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.  |
