Yo, Dude all you gotta do is click "Why?" when LimeWire asks you to upgrade to Pro and then close the new window telling you why to go to Pro. I had the same problem as soon as I done this outta curiosity it loaded up to a very strong connection. :tease::Smilywais::woohoo: |
Final solution Show hidden files and folders browse to C:\Documents and Settings\computername\Application Data delete limewire folder after uninstalling it |
I made a video tutorial on this a while back on YouTube here: YouTube - Limewire won't connect - Vista and XP Fix and the step-by-step detailed tutorial is here: How To Get Limewire To Connect Vista and XP Users*|*BlueFAQs.com This has worked for hundreds of people according to text comments and has a 5 star rating after 10,000 views. There is a hidden limewire folder that must be deleted to allow the connection to take place. It's typically not going to be a firewall issue. Hope this helps you guys. |

Deleting LW's preferences folder (named LimeWire in more recent versions, named .limewire in versions prior to 4.9.34) is a fix that's been posted here for years:) It's good to know that heaps of people are solving their connection problems by deleting that folder;) |
