disconnected

I have been having a problem staying connected with the newer version. I stay logged on for as long as I can. I can leave LW connected and be downloading videos fine but when I come back click on LW I find I have been disconnected or my connection is very weak. I have been trying to download the same files for weeks. Also, sometimes when I log off which I have to do from time to time (shared computer) I lose all my old partial downloads. I wish I could go back to the old version. I never had any of these problems with it.

I am having exactly the same problem. Someone out there, help! When I start downloading, I stay connected for about one to five minutes, then I'm disconnected from my IP.

I left this morning with LW connected very strongly and downloading 5 files with the closest one to finished at 61% and 5 hours left (video file). I came back 4 hours later with a very weak connection 1 bar and only 2% downloaded. I'm very tired of this. KAZAA or something else is looking very attractive to me. This is BS.

I stand corrected. I was not connnected with a weak connection, I was disconnected. I've about had it.

To disable ultrapeer capabilities in new versions, tools > options > advanced > performance. While you're there, also disable Mojito DHT capabilities & TLS capabilities. The link in that thread is for the latest Java update (1.6.0_04) even though the thread says 1.6.0
