The Infamous One Green Bar Problem
 
1. OS version? Windows XP
2. What firewalls you have? Windows Firewall
3. How much ram? 224 MB
4. Hard Disk space available? 67.9 GB
5. Connection type? broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Siemens SpeedStream4100
7. Where are you trying to connect from? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW: 4.16.6 - Java: 1.5.0_03
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? AT&T Yahoo!
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It works
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. no
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New Problem- it worked fine for a long time
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? I believe UPnP
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? McAfee (but I think only the virus scan.. at least that's all I can find)
16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). USA

Go to Limewire Links (below) and click on (If LW will not connect) and try these fixes -- also check out the link (User Cant Connect - LimeWire) and scroll down to Adding An Exception For The LimeWire Program also Adding An exception for the Gnutella port

7. Where are you trying to connect from? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW: 4.16.6 - Java: Version 6 update 5
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Atlantic Broadband

Go to Limewire Links (below) and click on (If LW will not connect) and try these fixes -- if they dont work try the other links (connection problems) (LW troubleshooting)

i have tried many things may be i missed something?

5. Connection type? broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? netgear wpn824 v2
7. Where are you trying to connect from? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW: 4.16.6 - Java: not sure
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? comcast
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? DID NOT WORK?

i have tried uninstall reinstall, delete preference folder,reset router,firefox and expolrer still work, replace gnutella.net file, update java,changed listening port not sure bout with the router tho just in limewire.
so ne help would be great i hope its what ever the test up top that didnt work can fix it thx.

In Limewire Links (below) click on ) (ISP's known to block LW) -- you will see your ISP listed -- also check out these links on your ISP (isp comcast p2p limewire - Google Search) -- you can try this link (http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...-limewire.html) -- of course this is only a temp fix -- the only permanent way to fix this is to change your ISP
