Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

Red face my stats

1. OS version? Windows xp
2. What firewalls you have? Mcafee and Windows
3. How much ram? total virtual memory= 2.00GB total available=1.96GB
4. Hard Disk space available? a lot
5. Connection type? cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? scientific atlanta dpx110
7. Where are you trying to connect from: house
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? version 4.16.6
java 1.6.0_03
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Charter
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Says Your test worked!
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? No
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. Experienced user.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? yes but i set all the firewalls to the correct settings
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? no
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? i guess mcafee and maybe norton...norton does an occasional scan for me.
16. What country are you living in? USA.
