limewire is no working

Ok, my limewire has stopped working last week. After countless hours unstalling and restalling, deleting file ie .limewire folder under roaming ie appdata, still no luck.
I have vista and it was working great for the last 4 months but now there is only one green bar that show up when I connected.

We had motorola wireless with full bars. I was going to buy the pro again but I afaird to waste more money.

What going on?

Please help im ready to give up after having limewire for 5 years

In Limewire Links (below) click on (If LW will not connect) and go through these fixes -- if still no good click on (Fixes for LW when LW isn't operating as it should) if yr problem still remains click on (system details) fill in and post back here

1. OS version? Windows Vista, Administrator user account don’t think so

2. What firewalls you have? Windows Explorer Firewall

3. How much ram? 2 GB

4. Hard Disk space available? tons, computer is three months old!

5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Cable/ and wireless router

6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Motorola, It is a cable modem with router inside of it

7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? appartment complex but are roommate has it unsecured but there are full bars

8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. 4.18.2 and java 5

9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? cox, san diego

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. no?

12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. I have had limewire for 5 year, this is a new problem. I also have another computer at my parents with the older verison and it works fine

13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? yes -What does that mean because i have had it better and it worked fine

14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set
up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?

15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall Trend Micro Anti Virus

16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). United States

Have you gone through all those fixes that I suggested -- If your Trend Micro antivirus includes a firewall I suggest you disable your windows vista firewall and ensure that trend is configured to allow LW full access. Click on this link (ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire) your ISP is listed. Para 10 in your system details is abit of a worry -- it's possible your ISP is blocking you or blocking you at certain hours.

Yes I have gone through the list, i think im on hour 20 trying to fix this program. I have tried everything. me-----> Trend Micro does not have a fire wall. I never had this problem til I moved last week. i downloaded the newest version and that it, done. I dont know anything about computers or isp or port or prozy.
Really sucks because the one time i want to download music... **** hits the fan I have 8 days before I leave again for OIF and music is the one thing that keep me sane in the sand box. Is there any other file sharing programs that work with vista

Do you know of any way around cox.... changing a port or prozy.

The para 10 bit -- your test didnt work -- means LW is being blocked on port 6346. -- is your firewall configured to allow LW full access also your router firewall -- must be configured also to allow LW -- please check -- the only permanet fix if it is your ISP blocking you is to get another ISP -- there is a temp fix -- try this link (http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...-limewire.html) there are other free fileshare programs (FrostWire - Reviews and free FrostWire downloads at Download.com) and (BearShare – Free music downloads.
