![]() Don't have 3 firewalls running at once - you won't be more protected, the firewalls will just conflict with each other. Choose 1, configure it to allow LW & turn off the other 2. Once you've done that, restart LW. Try to find the model of your Netgear router. If no model's showing on top of the router, turn it upside down & have a look underneath. Have you been through all of the fixes in this thread? If LW Will Not Connect |

![]() Windows is allowing it, as is McAfee and ZoneAlarm. I shutdown ZoneAlarm and my Windows Firewall. It still doesn't work. The most bars I've gotten since I got the upgrade was 1. It doesn't go any farther then that. I've tried looking for the two preference folders, I only have 1. Same with replacing the Gnutella.net file. |

![]() Same problem here. Can't connect after upgrading. Have always been able to get on before upgrading to this version. I have ZoneAlarm and it is configured to allow Limewire through. Windows XP, 1 gig of ram. It continually says "you are currently connecting to the network". It doesn't change. Nothing has changed on my computer except for upgrading the software. ***EDIT*** I fixed my problem by deleting my preferences folder '.limewire' and then resetting my preferences. Hope this helps. ![]() Ensure that Limewire is closed before doing this. Preference Folder for XP are found here:- c:\documents and settings\username\applications data\LimeWire <-- [delete] (or) c:\documents and settings\username\limewire <-- [delete] Application Data's hidden by default, so you'll need to enable viewing of hidden files & folders to be able to see it (control panel - Tools - folder options - view - check the radio button to show hidden files & folders - apply - Ok) For Vista the Preference Folder is found here :- C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\LimeWire <--(Preference Folder) Go to this link (How to show hidden files in Vista) Once you have done this restart Limewire
