i need help!!!

when i finished installing limewire i opened it but nothing happened, i was clicking it over and over but nothing happened. my PC was just reading for 2secs. but LW wont run.. after reading i was still on my desktop. i tried to uninstall it and installed it again but it just happened again.

i think it is not a connection prob because my internet connection is ok.

i really really really need help ASAP!!!

Have you just downloaded/installed LW version 4.16 -- if so delete the LW Preference Folder : In windows XP they can be found here:-
Make sure your Limewire is closed

Preference File in XP SP2
(you must show all hidden files)
[1] Open windows explorerselect Tools à Folder Options à View à Show hidden files and folders.
[2] In windows explorer look for the Limewire Folder – go here:-
c:\documents and settings\username\applications data\LimeWire <--(delete)(or)
c:\documents and settings\username\limewire <-- (delete)

Vista Users will find it here:-
C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\LimeWire <--(delete)

Now restart your Limewire
