Firewall Issues. Help, please!

Okay, I've tried everything to get the brick wall symbol off of my LimeWire. I can't download anything. I've put it as an exception on the Windows Firewall list and my Norton AntiVirus' list. It works on other accounts on my computer (I use Windows XP.) I am an administrator user on the computer, just like all of the accounts it works on. Oh, and it's worked in previous times. It just began a few months ago, maybe late 2007. It could've been earlier than that. Any help here?

Please confirm that you only have a windows firewall -- temporarily disable your firewall and see if you can connect -- if you can it's your windows firewall that's the problem -- if you can't it's something else -- Have you got a router (this contains a firewall) if so check the firewall is giving Limewire full access -- now try and connect with your windows firewall enabled.

How would I check if my router is allowing LimeWire? And I doubt it's the router because other accounts on my computer can connect to LimeWire no problem.

same exact problem!

I'm almost relieved to see that someone else is having the same problems I am. I bought Limewire Pro last year, and it worked fine up until a few months ago, but 2008 for me. It says there's a firewall, but that symbol has always been there, when it worked before....plus, my anti-virus software has expired, so there's no working firewall stuff to speak of. I checked it anyway, under the firewall section of McAfee, and it was allowed, not blocked. I'm at a loss here! I'm going nuts! Plus, when I did the Limewire Pro Lookup, not ONE of my FOUR email addresses were recognized; obviously I know I bought, paid for, and used Pro so I don't know how that's even possible. Please help!
