 Unexplained Speed Jump HELLO - I'M NEW HERE AND TO COMPUTERS BUT HERE GOES. I HAVE A H.P. COMPAQ WITH A DIAL UP CONNECTION.IF NEEDED I WILL GET AS MUCH INFO AS POSSIBLE ON THE SYSTEM. THE QUESTION: I WAS DOWNLOADING A SONG AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY SPEED JUMPED TO 60KPS AND HIGHER. DOWNLOADS HAVE NEVER BEEN THAT FAST!! USUALLY 3 TO 6 KPS IS AS FAST AS IT GETS. ANY IDEA WHAT HAPPENED AND HOW CAN I GET THAT SPEED ALL THE TIME?  SHORT OF GETTING A HIGH SPEED CONNECTION THAT IS.  |
