Firewall Issues
 

I am stuck behind a firewall and cannot connect. I have turned off all firewalls on my computer. PLEASE HELP!!!

1. OS version? Windows XP
2. What firewalls you have? Windows and Norton (but they are turned off)
3. How much ram? Not sure - Memory is 1024MB
4. Hard Disk space available? 250GB
5. Connection type? Cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Motorola SB5120
7. Where are you trying to connect from? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? Lime 4.18.3 Pro and Java 1.5.0_06
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Cox, and use Firefox
10. Do this simple test for us. What happens when you go there? "YOUR TEST WORKED"
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? Yes, we have a Linksys Router connecting to 3 other computers
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New problem with an experienced user. I moved and when I hooked my computer up, LW would not work.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? YES and it taunts me.
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? Not sure
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Norton
16. What country are you living in? United States

update your java - java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 update 7 from here
(Java SE Downloads) -- if this doesn't fix your problem

In Limewire Links (below) click on (If LW will not connect) and go through these fixes
