also if it helps this has never happened before, so I know it isn't the router or anything else installed on my pc. I also did a system restore to be on the safe side and nothing, and the pc we are connected to wireless-ley limewire works fine there
This problem came out of nowhere earlier this moth around the 2nd

In Limewire Links (below) click on (If LW will not connect) and go through these fixes -- if still no good click on (Fixes for LW when LW isn't operating as it should) and try these fixes.

It sounds like your ISP could be blocking you at peak times -- what's your ISP -- you said Firefox but I presume that's your internet browser
check this (list) see if your ISP is on it -- if so -- that's your problem

I believe we have road runner from time warner cable, but I din't see that on any of the lists unless it has different names

Check this (link) out -- also have another look at that url I gave you earlier (ISP's known to block p2p's namely limewire) scroll down to post #93 -- call your ISP and ask them if they are blocking P2P (Limewire)

ok read the liks you posted but there is a problem, I use it wirelessley. Like I said before the other pc works fine and limewire comes right up. So obviously road runner isn't the problem here.

Well I'm afraid I'm out of ideas -- if you say it's not your ISP it can only be your computer -- are you by chance running a network -- if so you have to use different ports on both your computers to connect to Limewire not the same -- have you downloaded any new software lately -- sometimes these conflict with limewire

I really think that I might just give up and get another program instead of limewire
