No connection
 

I followed the instructions I recently read on the forum for Limewire5 Pro:
downloaded Gnutella.net file, saved to desktop, opened limewire folder, copied and pasted file in open folder, closed it, rebooted pc and still no connection:rolleyes:??

Other advice is instead to simply delete the gnutella.net file. ;)

If non of the tips works for you, then my advice would be to go back to LW 4.18 until a LW 5 update comes out. :)
To get LW 4.18, click on the Get LimeWire Classic link on the left side of your Pro download page. ;)

In Limewire Links (below) click on (If LW will not connect) and go through these fixes -- Try one fix at a time --- do them in this order:-
1. Check your firewall.
2. Delete/Replace gnutella.net file
3. Delete Preference Folder (otherwise known as the Limewire folder)
4. Update java
5. Change listening port
6. Go through the rest of the fixes.
7. if after all of this your problem remains click on (system details) fill in and post back here

Have just downloaded LW 4.18, despite having paid for LW5 Pro (not ur fault I know) and the older version is still not connecting, all thats showing is the first bar which is green, all the rest (4) is red:eek::bangh:
