Arrow starting connection........... but never starts ??

I have spent hrs trying to configure ports, Firewall etc. Windows fire is off and Ive allowed it thrugh Mc afee. My limewire was working a few months ago and when I tried it yesterday i cannot get connected.It will enable today and not tomorrow.....
I have done the test and it worked, here are any other details that may help.

1 Windows Vista
2 Mc Afee
3 60.3 gb free hard drive
4 Netgear Wireless adsl dg834g
5 connected from home
6 Version.. lw pro 414.7 Java 1.6.0.02
7 AOL
8 Test worked
9 A brick wall present
10 uk
Any help would be great on this.

First problem I see is AOL. AOL is not p2p sharing friendly. You might find connection problems are over certain times of day. You will probably also find limited speeds due to their p2p filtering. It's my guess connection might be easier during off-peak hours of the day. Unfortunately this may not suit your timetable.

Are you port forwarding your Netgear? If you did, I'd suggest you choose a high port number between 49152 - 65535. This is usually the last range that ISP's shape for p2p sharing. Not to say they are not using 'other' techniques such as software that simply detects LW when it's connecting.
