15. Re-check your settings with Verizon Internet security suite. Some ISP's security software includes utilities that are anti-p2p file sharing & will block them. 14. Re-check your UPnP abilities. After the crash, some settings may have gone AWOL lol ![]() Something to try: Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) BUT .. make sure you make a backup of your Downloads file from the preferences folder, it might be called Downloads.dat. ie: Post 5 has instructions on deleting the preferences folder & post 6 instructions on how to back-up the downloads.dat file. Actually for time being, just make a backup of your downloads file (downloads.dat). Do not re-add it back to the preferences folder yet .. until you get connected ok. ![]() Last edited by Lord of the Rings; January 12th, 2010 at 06:36 PM. |

![]() I've reviewed this thread. Actually Westell devices are not that reliable run in UPnP mode from experience on these forums. I'd recommend port forwarding the router. Instructions (this must be done in this order): 1. Set up a Static ip address for Windows XP 2. Port Forwarding Limewire on the Westell D90-327W15-06. When you port forward, choose both TCP & UDP. Preferential to do a separate port forward rule for each of UDP & TCP, using the same port. Note: The instructions for LW on that page refer to LW 4. For LW 5, see sample image here Manual port forward instructions & sample image ![]() Which port to use? I'd recommend choosing a port number between 49152 - 65535. Whichever one you choose should be the one you port forward & put into the connection & listening settings within LW. |
