Was it LW or your antivirus software that was giving you this message? Executable files (.exe) are fairly dangerous to download...they very frequently contain viruses. If you want to download programs, I suggest you go for files with the .rar extension. You can scan them for viruses before you actually use them. Winrar, which is necessary to open these files, is shareware. Good Luck:xeri_ok1ani: |
I am unable to drag the two .mp3 song files I downloaded from Limewire V 4.13.0 into iTunes or my IPod. Any thoughts? |
See thread 36 - All I get when I try to drag is a black circle with a line thru it. Can't burn the files to my CD either. (Windows XP) |

I Am Looking At My Upload Page And I Notice That Status Is Complete On One Song But Progress Is Stuck On 35 % . Surely That Should Be 100% . |
The file was being uploaded from more than one host. They got 35% from you and the rest from other hosts that had the same file. So the status being complete is correct. |
New to Lime Wire Hey I'm New to Lime Wire, only just downloaded to Windows XP, using broadband connection. After been bugged by my boys to get it as everyone else has it and it is "the bomb" It worked the first couple of days, though we have been experiencing trouble in downloading as every song we download, goes straight to a window labled "Media Usage Rights Acquisition." and from here directs to advertisment of all sorts. I've looked through the fourms, frequent questions and answers and have not come up with any ideas on how to fix this. If anyone can assist;) |
It all sounds like spam files to me, although I haven't exactly heard of that phrase... Just check this...Go to Tools > Options > Searching > License warning and make sure the box is not ticked and then select apply... Also Check this thread out, it will help you with searching true files... How to find music This thread will tell you how to avoid fake files... Fake files in search results You are doing the right thing with helping the boys with their downloads as the network is full of viruses and other stuff kids don't relise their downloading.. This thread will help you with file sizes to avoid, so you don't download a virus... WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! :rolleyes_2: |
