Lord of the Rings has a distinguished reputation

Because there's more than one type of movie file; eg: mpeg1, mpeg2, avi, etc. You'll need to do it with each of these types of file so VLC becomes the default to play them. But remember to set default outside of Limewire. Now if you launch a movie within LW, VLC will open it. Good luck & happy watching!
