Well just when I thought I half way knew what I was doing, the can't move to libary thing started. I'm bummed. I think the best thing for me to do is just give up, everything seems too involved, too much paper work as they say. I wish there was an easy fix. Take care.

Lord of the Rings March 12th, 2005 09:49 AM

nattienat did you update your LW to 4.8.1? Also try deleting your lw preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions: Fixes for Limewire

nattienat March 12th, 2005 12:25 PM

Well you haven't steered me wrong yet Lord, so I will give it a try. Thanks.

nattienat March 12th, 2005 02:46 PM

Well good news is I clicked on the link you sent, downloaded a song and it worked! Thank you.

Bad news is, I went and downloaded another song and it came back saying it wasn't recognized! Argggggggggg LOL!

Lord of the Rings March 12th, 2005 02:50 PM

Well that's not a major issue. It's a codec issue. Might I suggest you get a backup audio player like QCD which has inbuilt codecs & plays everything & is FREE: http://www.quinnware.com/

nattienat March 12th, 2005 06:24 PM

I download the Q, then went and download a song, came back 40 mins later saying it was a corrupt file. My computer (screen) colors and type have gotten darker, gheez....

Lord of the Rings March 14th, 2005 01:23 PM

Starting to get off topic here nattienat but see T3 Spammers & corrupt sources If you wish to post further about your audio problems then create a new post in this Upload/Download probs section.

p) I'm afraid. Hold me... LOL (not really but anyway. I could, but there's no firewall running...)

Also, Sorry, but could a mod/admin move (or delete) the topic I posted concerning this? I didn't look in the important section first. *Faceslap*

Violent J May 4th, 2005 01:31 PM

So, let me see if I've got this right. Go to the LW Fixes thread. Try that. If it doesn't work, go to the 4.3.3 link and download it. And possibly try the fix again if the problem persists?

When's the next version due out? Anyone know?

lalala2000 May 17th, 2005 09:19 PM

when i download the songs that are japanese and the search comes up with these boxes with the name and i try to download them, they don't download and it says "Could not move to library".... i don't know if its the java or the language.
(other downloads work, if there english, but not japanese languages)

Your issue sounds more like an Operating System issue. I'm probably wrong but perhaps your present system set up can't handle these non lative based characters. Did you try setting your system to use unicode or something. Another thought is if you truncate the names ... shorten them before they're 100% complete. Just a thought. Which OS are you using?

F.normal i spose. Same as all the others that are incomplete, i found it in that folder, and it says its 100 % finishd. I cant seem to preveiw it either.
G. Like move the entire folder?

J. Only 2 were at that time, counting it.
K. No...
L. Only this one so far...
M. N/A
N. N/A
