it says it is downloading but it is not
 

windows xp aol 9.0 no firewalls dial up 200gb memory

a file is downloading, then the percent done starts decreasing. i e 26 percent complete, shows it is downloading, the percent complete goes to 25, 24. This is on all files being downloaded. It shows I am downloading from up to 5 hosts on each download. Ideas?

when I follow steps to "revert to default"... no matter what (whether I click restore defaults, ok, or apply) it goes back to unchecked. there fore, it is MAKING itself unchecked, thus not allowing me to download to system.

my OS is (unfortunately) windows ME.

Hi I did all of the above but after clking revert to default I cked apply and my check erases so I clk OK still doesn't work when I try to download the popup "lw unable find license blah blah??? Help me someone

After setting to default, then make the other change in settings for searches. See page one again, post #4. ;)

I have Vista does that make a difference??

Go to Tools > options > Searcing > Lisence Warning and make sure the box is not ticked and select apply...

Thought it was a licensing issue but unsure.
 

I can download the songs, but they will not play on the limewire player or Musicmatch. It shows the song is there, but with nothing in the file. Can anyone give me some information what I am doing wrong?

Be sure they are 'real' audio files & not spammed viruses pretending to be audio files. Check their file sizes Virus thread: Typical virus spam file sizes - Make a note of them (click on blue link to see).

It might be a simple case of you needing an update of codecs to play such files. Have you tried playing them with VLC player? VLC is primarily a video player but can also play a high number of audio formats.

im haveing the same thing on mine telling me dont leat me copy right what the owners dont wanna shar and then i try to get a song and that license thing pops up iv had lime wire befor and never had this happen tp me! i seen the first pag i im going to un mark the thing..i live in the usa so i do hope the fbi don come after me!!!:)

Simple violation of copyright is a civil matter, i.e., you can be sued, but no jail.

I'm not sure how Limewire filters material when the box is checked. If it looks for some kind of "okay to share me" tag, I imagine your search results will be extremely limited.

I suggest you un-check the box, then read through this thread to learn more about safe downloading. Otherwise, I hear Napster is not expensive.

well i think i fixed it i dont no if ill keep it it seems like a lot of people have it i dont wanna be find iv never done any thing worng in my life!!!:)
