 From my experience, if you do not have enough disc space, then the download is useless and you must re-download it. This has only happened to me with music files, so it was not much of a problem, and I did not investigate fully, I just re-downloaded them after clearing a space  .There may be a way to save a large download.... hopefully some one might know of one......
