I emailed Tiscali last night to ask them why I am suddenly having these problems and if there was any truth in the fact they are blocking P2P files. Of course they have denied this and sounded quite "put out" that I could suggest such a thing of them. They said the problems are down to a technical faults that they are dealing with!!!:bangh:

My advise is to keep on at them otherwise they will not do anything! Keep emailing and phoning until they fix the problem after all it is their responsibility to put it right. Unfortunately their technical support is rubbish but keep on at them.

I don't understand, Tiscali is supposed to have unlimited bandwidth, and then they limit your use time? That's a load of crap!

It is a load of crap. It takes me a whole day to download one film does this happen to you?

Well, they've currently given us 3 months free service for all the crap we've had with them lately, (we've had connection issues since August 2006) so I wouldn't complain, I'd just leave. :/

When the connection works, it downloads fine and speedy.

I am with tiscalii too and it takes a whole day to download one film if not more. I'm afraid to say that they are usless.

Best bet to get a new supplier that's what I'm going to do. Do you know who works best?

hi one and all, update on Tiscali,u used to be able to use frostwire without problems, but they have sussed that now ! Can't use LWire or FWire until midnight(if you are classed as a heavy user ! ) i.e. download up to 1gig per day,totally illegal what they are doing as they advertise ''Unlimited Downloads '' even heard a radio advert this week for Unlimited downloads.
LWire will stay connected, but gradually lose connects from 9.00am. another problem if u are a heavy user, download speeds throughout the day are MUCH lower for everything,and if you are downloading a couple of different things, Very slow. So you cant even get normal service EVER.
Tech services are useless and just Lie, so the only way forward is to COMPLAIN, yes to Tiscali, but also to CISAS: Communications & Internet Services Adjudication Scheme and to others,maybe, Pipex enters the valley of woe - ZDNet UK and if you want a rant that counts, maybe The Weekly Gripe: gripes rants consumer complaints issues things I hate and annoying stuff CISAS is the official OFTEL ombudsman for all Broadband complaints in the UK, so go on DO IT !!

Hi Andy,
I am also on tiscali and I have not had any problems at all. At this very second it is 12.13pm and I am downloading 240kb's and I have been all morning. Sorry If that upsets anyone but I thought you should know that not all tiscali connections are restricted (thank you lord).
