steve2mh, yes, you're right... DirecWay IS doing it. I hate that we have to have our service changed, modified or whatever you want to call it, when we're right in the middle of our contracts and paying a lot of money for their service (or lack thereof). It sucks! And like you, I too tried another P2P program with the same slow results. And I recently stayed in a hotel and used their wireless connection with LimeWire and it worked like it used to at home. It just flew.
I'm guessing we're the first of many having a fit over this. I'm sure this will become an issue in the not too distant future. Not even sure it's legal. But knowing how sneaky DirecWay is, they probably have their behinds covered.
In the meantime (while waiting for our WiFi tower to be finished), I'll be on the lookout for sites and addresses to ftp from to download mp3's, like in the old days. Hahah
LimeWire ought to come out with a browser version. Might bypass all these problems. Who knows though...
