Do a speed test & tell us the results http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?more=1 If files download slowly from magnetmix, it's not a good sign. Have you used any other p2p apps & if so, were downloads slow? Check out the thread below, it has some info about Platinum (see LOTR's post for links). There have been a few other Platinum customers with the same complaint. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...light=platinum

564.9 kilobits/s I just tried Morpheus and got same results as Limewire. I have tried pretty much everything on the forums and am pretty stumped I don't think it's my ISP cause I recieved this email: We do not limit p2p traffic in any way on our network. Your best bet it to make sure that your router has UPnP enabled, and that any firewall software you might have installed has the appropriate ports open for your program to function properly. You will have to research on the Limewire site to see which ports these are supposed to be.

OK, I've also found that Limewire is automatically changing the "Listen on" port, even when I set it manually. This is causing conflicts with my firewall and my direct port forwarding settings on my router. When I try to change back to the original port, it tells me that it is not available. Any idea what this means?
