Check the file extension. LW won't open exe files and there's a virus that changes all the files in your library to exe files. So check for that. Do a virus scan and let us know what you find out.

I was just trying to do that scan file thing, so i opened up lw and now all my files have turned into zipped folders

I believe the virus 6pac mentioned is the same as the one you have. I would recommend downloading AVG antivirus (it's free). It should help you get rid of the infected files. Unfortunately, I think any files that are in zipped format will be trash.
