Go to your Connections Tab in limewire, if it's not showing up go to Veiw > Show/Hide and make sure the connection tab has a tick next to it... Then click on the Hosts and remove them and let Limewire search for some more... (try to take note of the hosts IP numbers if the same ones keep re-appearing add them to your host filter...) ;) Tools > Options > Filters and select the Host Filter and add these IP's into it and select apply... Also if you want to update your Limewire, just install the new version over the top of the old, there is no need to uninstall the older version... You won't loose any of your files either...;) |

I'm having the same problem. I tried a few of the ideas that were posted and none seem to work. Any other ideas? |
I am having the same problem "connecting(25 hosts tried...)" I have tried the suggestions listed here and none of them have worked for me. I started having this problem after I updated to LW 4.14.8. |
This thread is staring to confuse me (or I'm having another blonde day)... Are you guys fully connected to the network, could you give a little more detail please... |
I'm having the same problem too. I installed Limewire 4.14.8 and it worked fine for several hours. I left my computer then when I got back, all downloads has stopped and I kept getting the same message (Connecting, Host Tried, Need More Sources) when I retried. Limewire can still search and upload, but seems like it can't download. I have another PC with Limewire 4.12, and it works normally. Maybe some bug in 4.14.8? |
Sounds like the 4.14 is a bit buggy... Maybe the hosts that you where downloading from went offline...Try canceling the files and then resume them from your incomplete folder... You could also try connecting to some new ultrapeers... Also this hostile list is very handy...It only works for the 4.13 and above versions of limewire... http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...-limewire.html |
I did get it fixed, I think I was trying to download ghost files or whatever. Thanks for your concern. Sorry, it took so long for me to respond, I have had a death in my familyhttp://www.gnutellaforums.com/images/icons/icon9.gif and have not been on in a few days. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/images/icons/icon7.gifThank you again.http://www.gnutellaforums.com/images/icons/icon7.gif |
Sorry to hear that...I'm glad things are working for you in limewire now...:) |
I am having the exact same prob as everyone else seems to be having. Can I ask what does this tick everyone keeps talking about next the connection tab. I have a blue turbo charged bar for my connection and still no downloads (music). I have already removed some hosts and gotten all new, but still nothing. Kelp anyone! Is the only solution to uninstall and re-buy it? |
