Default Can't Complete Installation..??

So, for some reason i can't complete the installation of limewire. I get a message that reads

"Limewire cannot create uninstallation information. Installation will now exit. Restarting the computer can often fix this."

...and restarting the computer has definetly NOT helped fix this!

Any thoughts on what the issue could be?? =/

I too am having a problem completing the download of LW. I have had it for years and never chose to upgrade to the pro version or anything. 2 or so days ago, I tried to get on and instead of the LW "homepage" thing, a window popped up where I could configure my folders for saving and sharing. When I hit next to go to the second window, that's as far as I can go. On the second screen there is no button to choose for "next", "finish" , etc. I uninstalled and reinstalled mulitple times and each time the download completes, I get the same thing. I have XP and have run my antivirus, spyware stuff........ says I have no threats or viruses. Has anyone else come across this problem? I am getting soooo frustrated! A friend told me it was because I was choosing the basic, free one and that I have to pay. I found that to be a bit ridiculous.... Can someone just PLEASE help me!!! The download and everything goes fast and smooth until I get to the folder configuration screen. Oh, and I don't get any error messages..........

Motormouth, There is absolutly NO Reason to Buy Pro. Try this fix below.

setup freezes

The thing that is confusing is you said you've had LW for several years, but now when launched it takes you through the installation ??
What version do you or did you have ?? Also check your Java version. May need to update. The latest version is 1.6.6.
Hope this Helps.
