Newbie to the forum alert. I have looked around many threads here but haven't found an answer for my specific problem. For some reason Limewire has stopped downloading video files for me. Audio files download just fine but when I try downloading video, all I get is the "waiting for sources" status. I've tried several different video files too. Popular ones that I know are out there. I have an older version of Limewire. (4.16) and it has worked perfectly fine for a long time. I even reset it to default settings and that didn't work. Any ideas?

Sounds like your ISP has started to "bandwidth shape" your connection.

Do video files begin to download at all? Tried different file extensions (AVI, WMA, etc)? Who's your ISP?

I don't know what your answers will mean, but I think they will help others here figure out your problem.

As UK Bob said, some ISPs are limiting bandwidth, (some only during "peak hours"), block certain websites, and/or block or limit file types.
