it wont let me download without a credit card even if it is free...it starts when you get a song and click download then asks for credit card # but it is free

I uninstalled everything. And now I went to all doucments and settings, all users. and now I see the following folders:

Appication Data
Desktop
Favorites
Shared Documents
Start Menu
Templates
NTUSER ( Video I think )
NTUSER.dat ( notepad thing )

I dont know what you want me to rename.

Did you skip the part about revealing hidden files and folders?

Naturally they won't let you download anything until they can get your identity and
then stamp it into the files with a watermark. If you don't have a credit card then
forget them and get the version of BearShare that doesn't mess with DRM.

My BS songs get stuck in finalizing also. I already have 6 DRM backup folders and I am not getting help from BS and have continually had the same issues over and over again. But, I am happy to read the post giving the way to uninstall BS and again reinstall BS and rename the DRM folder.
