| If you are running Windows XP SP2, then you may have to disable the built-in firewall. If you are in a networked environment, you may have another firewall that is interfering that is not on your machine. How are you connecting to the internet? |

| I had a similar problem. I had installed an earlier version of Phex and then installed the latest version, thinking it would update the older version. I couldnt connect to anything. I uninstalled both the old and new versions of Phex then reinstalled the latest version and it started to work fine. |
