Cool Installing LW 2.7.13 maintains my prefs, Hurray!

I had gotten tired of having to redo my LW preferences every time I updated to a new version. It looks like this is taken care of in the new version. It also "remembers" my shared files so it doesn't have to take an age to reload them. Another nice thing is that it auto removes the finished or interupted updates so my monitor screen is clean. Now I just need to see if it will crash a little less frequently and I will be overjoyed!

Thanks LW team!

Glad to hear those initial components are functioning well for you. We've been working hard on fixing those issues, and we feel confident that 2.7.13 has addressed them. If you (or anyone else) does experience crashes on OS X, feel free to e-mail me directly at afisk@limepeer.com. I've seen this once myself, and others have noticed it, but I have not been able to reproduce it consistently. Any information in tracking these crashes down would be invaluable.

Thanks!

fisk,

LimeWire 2.7.13 on your download page is a ".zip" file.

Numerous people on this forum have complaimed about problems caused by installations from folders created from .zip files. All these people say that the solution is to download a ".sit" file from a Mac-oriented site.

Would you please list the locations we can download .sit versions on your standard new version announcement message.

Thanks

Are you using Stuffit Expander to open those zips? If not, check the 'open with' triangle when doing a 'get info on the zip file, and change it to stuffit expander, if necessary.
I'm using Stuffit Deluxe 7.01, changed my open with setting from Stuffit Deluxe to Stuffit Expander, and it creates the blue and gray install disk every time.

Also, side topic, this version 2.7.1.3 seems to be finally taking us where we want to go. Now if we can just tone down the caffeine a wee bit, maybe I can browse and LW at the same time. That would be nice. Mine hasn't crashed yet, but of course I always disable that darned UltraPeer Crashin Machine.
