Default error "could not move to library"

I receive every now and then an error stating that the file "could not be moved to library", and at the same time, I cannot find those files in the incomplete folder. Where are those files??

Thank you.

Default Ditto

Ditto for me... I have upwards of 380 megs available on my drive, but began to get the dreaded message more and more consistantly. I have tried moving the incomplete and Shared folderd to a different drive, with over 15 Gb available, to no avail. I have tried upgrading from 2.8.5 to 2.9.whatever, to no avail. Rather, it has become WORSE. Now, I get either "could not move to library," or "Could not Download" IMMEDIATELY after starting a file, in many cases.

FOR GOD'S SAKE.

There have been something like 900 posts on this topic during the past several months. I know developers like to go out and have drinks occasionally, but COME ON. This has been going on since OCTOBER.

Something needs to be mentioned in the FAQ, at the least. SURELY, the developers can not, after receiving THIS MANY posts about this, still think it is some sort of "user error." give me a BREAK! I don't think that the developers (who wish for us to PAY for this software) realize how very, incredibly IRKSOME this problem is.

SO, HOW ABOUT IT? Can we FOR ONCE have a clear, CORRECT response to this issue?

I've had the same problem. But I'm not going to be so harsh on the developers. After all, they have brought us the only decent file sharing program for the Mac OSX. I will gladly pay $7.50 every six months to use it ad-free and I'm assured that the problem will be fixed in the next release.

gruiz--upgrade to the 2.9.6 beta version. You can access it from your Pro page or somewhere on the free page. dbdraggin was right--no more "could not move" problems for me.

As for the disappearing files, I've only read of this in other unrelated contexts. The files should show in the incomplete folder, but sometimes they get renamed, so check your shared/incomplete folders for files with about the right date and size. Did you try a Finder search? (I once found incomplete files _inside_ the Acquisition pkg!)

btw, did you enjoy the other posts? Rants are fun to read, provided they are not taken seriously. Mark Twain wrote some of the best, so I enjoy reading a good one. I lost my best one (one of the Mark Twain to the Power Company ones, I think), and couldn't find it on google. Any suggestions?
