Do you both live in the middle of the atlantic and if so does that make you both fish?

Incompletes have an age, they are not immune - this has massive implications if the default preference is set to 7 days

any file whos modification date is older than 7 days will be totally and utterly deleted

the file will be deleted along with it the name and whatever data was downloaded

Im writing this so that other users who do a search will find this and not make the same SAD mistake that I have just made

Actually only I live in the middle of the Atlantic, well the country is in the middle of the atlantic, but like in the rest of your posts here you only see what you want to see.

Simple fact is, deleting your LW user preferences should not in any way affect your download prefs. It looks to me like after re-opening LW & resetting options you have set them differently to before such as the download location. (I've used LW in OS 8, OS 9, OS 10.2, OS 10.3, OS 10.4, windows 2000, windows XP, but never seen or even heard of your problem before. I've deleted the LW prefs in all but one of those OS's.) This suggests to me a user issue.

Don't blame us for your "own" user mistakes.

BTW I wish all the Irish luck there is for you. But just don't frig the members of this forum around. We try to help ... don't abuse our efforts without even looking at our ideas.
