 Yes, but you could also wait a couple of days for the next version. 2.9 beta will be released really soon. Old versions can be downloaded here: http://www3.limewire.com/download/ Btw. your problem might go away if you kill all your downloads, - if LimeWire becomes responsive again after killing the downloads, your problems were probably related to a bug that will be fixed in the 2.9 beta.
