Well, these files are downloading as Quicktime Movie icons, and changing them to .mp3 or using Quicktime to 'File, open' them isn't working.

But when I do try and open them, I get an error message saying "Couldn't open file T-398753 because it isn't a file that Quicktime understands."

The T-378964 message makes it sound like a RealPlayer file.

I'd like to download another player as a last resort....I just wanna fix LimeWire!
Hello!

You should download and use a different player since Quicktime player can only play one file at the time and has no such things as a playlist etc. Quicktime is mainly for movies and not adapted for music library playing. Air Whisper(the link provided in my post above) is a good one I have heard!.

I can see one other problem with your files. Their file names start with a T followed by some numbers. Those numbers are the file size in bytes and the T indicates that LW was not finished downloading them. The T stands for Transferred for instance T-378964 means that 378694 bytes or simply around 378kB was transferred to your computer before it was interrupted simply an incomplete mp3 file. Another factor that might prevent QT from playing them is if the .mp3 file exstension is missing.

The best thing you could do is to once again search for the same file in question and then once again initiate a download and if you find it and make a succesfull connection LW will once again download it. And if you put the current file in the incomplete folder before opening LW and downloading a new file LW will actually remember/see the file as an incomplete download and if the file you found and initiated a download is exactly the same(indicated by file name and exact same file size) as the one that you now have LW will start where it left off the last time so you will get a complete mp3 file that should be playable by QT.
