![]() I have downloaded a program, in DMG format. It mounts an image ok, however when I attempt to open the installer package it doesn't work I think the fact that it is locked doesn't help. (The installer icon has a little pad lock in the corner) I open the general info on the icon, and there seems to be no way to unlock it. Am I stuck?? Any help appreciated. Thank you |

![]() I do have permission to open and install it. I am the sole user of this computer. When I apple i, and I look at the "preview" of the icon, there is a silver pad lock in the bottom corner. Under "ownerships and permissions" I am the owner, and the padlock there is unlocked. The settings are read and write on all of them. |

![]() I don't think it should be unusual for an installer to be locked. I'd try a SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions & try again. There may be a problem with the installer itself. Is it the original or a custom made one. Meaning is the installer the size it should be or has it been reduced in size. |
