I have the same problem with Limewire on my G5 (with 10.3.9 - I have not yet tried it on my ibook with 10.4.2). I tried to do what the others here have done but it would not let me reinstall the java update. When I looked in my LIbrery/Receipts folder, the only thing there is something for the adobe reader, nothing about the security update.
Followin another link on this forum I followed Apple's support page re admitted problems with Limewire. However, when I went into Terminal and types jave - version, I did not receive the 'Segmentation Fault' message. It just told me my version. Not quite sure what to do now.
Any other suggestions?
