You really should be looking at updating your mac os. And make sure you have the latest Java for OS 8.6 -> Mac OS Runtime for Java 2.2.5: Information and Download
With dial up you have to be very, very patient for LW to connect. Sometimes up to an hour. If not connect then, then close it & re-open it.  |
