Another scam URL

http://www.m*****tvshow.com
leads too http://www.themoviesmembersarea.com after signing up.

Then you get NO confirmation email unless you inquire about it. And then your confirmation receipt is from http://www.mp3downloading.com and this in turn leads to an email from http://www.marketbill.com where the moneys was processed by.

Accept nothing less then the total purchase amount to be returned in a timely manner to you. Do not accept processing fee. Argue till you get the total amount reimbursed. Even if it takes a few emails/chats. http://www.marketbill.com was easily intimidated to return the total amount.

The Guardian UK has done some investigating, and names Download-It-Free.com, Montreal-based Market Engines Inc, run by Daniel Assouline and Michael Dadoun
http://technology.guardian.co.uk/wee...715254,00.html
here's a snip
Quote:

Market Engines is involved with hundreds of websites, including FreeMP3Lover.com, Mp3MusicAccess.com and eMuleCenter.com. Many of these sites are part of an affiliation network operated by Cash Engines, a division of Market Engines. Affiliate networks link merchants with third-party websites that advertise links to the merchants' goods and services, driving traffic to them and receiving payments in return.

Many of these merchant sites claim to be owned and operated by MP3 Networks Ltd, a company listed in Malta. The company, which also has an address in the Caribbean, was set up in July 2004, five months before Market Engines started business. Its director and major shareholder is Charles Assouline. We attempted several times to contact MP3 Networks Ltd on its Maltese number, which was never answered.

http://www.mp3extreme.com/eflp.php?p...9390&K=mp3&K2= Yes it is. This was the link for LW http://www.mp3extreme.com/g-common2B...5b36&PROV=-FW2

It appears to use a search engine to find "sponsored" ads, so you end up finding mostly scam sites. Many of which are listed here Known Scam Sites (click on link) but also some new scam sites.

Think this is not the right place for this, but post your questions... we will help you as fast as possible...

By the way, the first link in this discussion doesn't work anymore... It needs to be updated...

And here shareaza.com is listed as the official website... which is not true anymore.

Emusic does scam. When you cancel your account, they send you an email if you click on it they automatically reactivate your account and they DO NOT tell you or send you a confirmation email. I am currently trying to get my wasted $90 back because I did not track my credit card charges well enough. My bad but YES THEY DO SCAM. Oh and they will not give you a refund even though they can see you never downloaded any music and did mean to cancel your account 8 months ago... They also will nto let you talk to any supervisors and hold you hostage when you try to call and complain. I reported them to the BB also.

Just want people to know that even so called legit companies can scam.
