Im officially about 5 minutes away from throwing my laptop across the room at an innocent unsuspecting wall. i have vista. it worked. it worked well. then the connection went from 5 bars to 4, and down from there over a period of weeks. i would buy limewire pro in the hope that theyll fix the problem for me, but i dont see the point if the connection problem cant be fixed.

Pro will NOT fix connection problems. If it will not connect properly with LW Basic, Pro will not help. I see this is your first post chloriform07. Perhaps you can go to the Connection Problems - Gnutella Forums section of forums & create a new thread & give these details: System details - help us to help you (click on blue link) & explain your problem.

Remember to try these options: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html as sometimes one or a combination of these suggestions works.

its cool, i figured out the problem. its an installation error in the newer versions. had to go through and delete the hidden limewire folder in the roaming file and then reinstall it using the launch icon. took me a couple........ months, but im back in buisness and posted an explanation for vista users. OKAY..for stupid people like ME!!! I have done EVERYTHING and nothing has worked until I did sort of what that expert suggested. On VISTA START.. I clicked on my name that is on top of right side..APP DATA appeared in a list..CLICK and you'll either see yellow folders or a list of folders..look for the limewire one and delete it...restart and be in shock because it's the only thing that allowed me to see the 4 green bars..THANK YOU GRANDPA!!!!

Have you tried these fixes,
In Limewire Links (below) click on (If LW will not connect) and go through these fixes -- if still no good click on (system details) fill in and post back here
