![]() FunkyChin Your problem is going to be difficult to solve, so I am going to make a few suggestions which may seem silly but be patient (coz' I am guessing). 1) Have you switched off your Vista Firewall, which is probably turned on by default. 2) You're connected to the internet via cable (and cable modem) so there should not be a built in firewall, however as the administrator you should confirm that there is not an additional one blocking you. 3) It would not hurt to contact your modem's supplier and find out if there are any known issues between your modem and Vista.
