ZoneAlarm has had some affect on connecting...

Also if you are using ZoneAlarm Pro use these instructions to configure it correctly with Limewire...
Port Forwarding for the Dlink DI-604 (Don't take any notice of the link title, it is for ZoneAlarm)

Also your Netgear Router more than likely has a Nat Firewall within and will need to be Port Forwarded, so if you could supply the model number, I will be able to get the instructions for you...

And last but not least, your ISP Talk Talk are not all that p2p user friendly...

QoS/Throttled/port blocking
*advertise unlimited but have cut their customers off without warning. They haven't defined any limits but their T+C's 4.5 state:-" we may change your Transmission Speed or manage your use of our Broadband Service as we see fit in the circumstances.
Heavy users are throttled
