You need to install new CODECs to see your videos. You can download a free CODEC pack for your player, or you can get another player with CODECs installed. Either method is free and easy. AFAIK there's no Beta out now. The last Beta I know of was 4.18.1.

Normally, when there's a Beta out, you'll see a 'get Beta' button on the LW download page... there isn't one on the page at the moment
